In the inspection procedure of ball bearings: Inspect balls and races for brinelling, abrasion, and serious discoloration.
From Wikipedia:
Brinelling is a material surface failure caused by contact stress that exceeds the material limit. This failure is caused by just one application of a load great enough to exceed the material limit. The result is a permanent dent or "brinell" mark. It is a common cause of roller bearing failures, and loss of preload in bolted joints when a hardened washer is not used. Engineers can use the Brinell hardness of materials in their calculations to avoid this mode of failure. A rolling element bearing's static load rating is defined to avoid this failure type.

"Brinelling" comes from the proper name Brinell
The Brinell scale characterizes the indentation hardness of materials through the scale of penetration of an indenter, loaded on a material test-piece. It is one of several definitions of hardness in materials science.
Proposed by Swedish engineer Johan August Brinell in 1900, it was the first widely used and standardised hardness test in engineering and metallurgy.

The definition you found says: a permanent dent or "brinell" mark
So I am suggestion translations for dent/indentation as we cannot really say in Spanish "brinellaciones"

El diccionario de la Real Academia Española lo define así
Quebrantar o hender algo quebradizo
Esto es clásico en los rodamientos de bolas.....

SE dice se me estan cascando, se me cascó el balero.... O se tienen evidencias de cascado en el rodamiento
